Travel Tips
Centrally located in the heart of Missouri, the
Lake is a great meeting place for midwestern vacationing families.
Once a vacation destination for only a few short summer months,
the area has become a popular place to visit year 'round offering
288 holes of sweater weather golf, fall color trips, hiking, eagle
watching, expanded festivals and shopping at the state's largest
top brand outlet mall, heated fishing docks, fine dining and cozy
accommodations.
Just a scenic country drive from other major
attractions in the state, it is easily access from I-70 and I-44.
Missouri maps may be obtained by calling the Missouri Dept. of
Tourism (800-877-1234) and asking for a Travel Kit, which also
includes a state Travel Guide.
