Camdenton

Hwy 54 and 5. Often called the Hub City of the Lake area, it is the Camden County seat. It adds diversity to the Lake Community in that, along with golf courses, caves, restaurants, and a variety of family lodging in and around the area, there are thriving retail businesses and several small industries.

West of Camdenton on Hwy 54 are resorts, golf, and Ha Ha Tonka State Park. Ha Ha Tonka includes the natural beauty of pristine blue water from a huge underground spring, unusual rock formations, castle ruins and trails which are also accessible to individuals with disabilities.

Eldon

On Hwy 52, was once a railroad town (the old Rock Island Line passed through both Versailles and Eldon). Eldon predates the Lake by 50 years. Like Versailles, many of its leaders helped to develop the Lake area. Antiques, retail stores and light industry assure Eldon its own individuality, as well as maintaining an important relationship with the Lake¹s economy. Just 35 minutes from Jefferson City, Missouri¹s historic State Capitol, few locations can offer Eldon¹s access to urban amenities, leisure activities and Midwestern small town living.

Lake Ozark

The first mile west of Bagnell Dam, known to locals and visitors alike as "The Strip", houses boutiques, crafts, souvenirs, T-shirt shops, restaurants, arcades and amusement parks. Browsers of any age are always welcome. Just beyond Bagnell Dam Boulevard (Bus Hwy 54) is Horseshoe Bend Parkway. Horseshoe Bend houses the town of Four Seasons: lush golf courses, restaurants (on and off the water) as well as condos and resorts, ranging from the luxurious to family cottages.

Lake Ozark and Osage Beach provide entrances to the Lake of the Ozarks State Park, the largest in Missouri, offering picnic sites, shelters, horseback riding, boat rentals, launching facilities, an airport and two public beaches.

Osage Beach

An eight mile long community that has become a shopping destination for visitors throughout the Midwest. Picturesque Factory Outlet Village has over 110 top name brand stores, with quality and value in house wares, apparel and personal items. There are restaurants and a five screen cinema.

Many quaint antique stores, country sampler shops, and boutiques are sprinkled throughout the areaon and off the water. Among other malls are the Victorian themed Landing on Main Street, Lakeshore Plaza, High Point and Stone Crest Mall, enclosed for customer comfort.

Sunrise Beach

"On the quiet side of the Lake." Beautifully wooded with views of the water everywhere. Resorts, hotels, golf courses, campgrounds, and restaurants ensure a great time in Sunrise Beach.

Versailles

Hwy 5 and Hwy 52. Rich in history (dating back to 1833) and named after Versailles, Kentucky, this community is the Morgan County seat. The surrounding rural area, with Mennonite farms, the old courthouse, and the museum (once a hotel, dating pre-Civil War) makes Versailles an interesting contrast to the Lake of the Ozarks. Its leaders helped to shape the Lake, and it is often referred to as the Western Gateway.
